Unstructured Setup
Unstructured Setup Definition
An Unstructured Setup in Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS is a stand-alone data unit that contains an unstructured point cloud.
Support for Unstructured Setups allows flexible integration of different data from various sources, such as TLS, mobile laser scanners, photogrammetry, and merged datasets. Unstructured data can be imported from various file formats, such as LGS, LGSx, PTS, and E57. In an Unstructured Setup, data is referenced to the Setup center and may contain elements, such as unstructured 3D point clouds, WayPoints, panoramic images at WayPoints, Tracks, Track imagery along the trajectory, GeoTags, targets, and metadata.
When an Unstructured Setup contains static data, such as a re-imported LGSx file, the static Setups will appear as WayPoints. Additionally, an Unstructured Setup can be created by unifying a Bundle with the Unify Bundle command, which unifies multiple Setups into a single, unified dataset, aligning with the architecture of an imported LGSx file.
When an Unstructured Setup contains mobile data, such as data from Leica BLK kinematic scanners (imported as BEG) or Leica Mobile Mapping Systems (imported as LGSx), the Unstructured Setup will include Tracks.
In Leica Geosystems Reality Capture definition, a Track is mobile data captured by mobile mapping systems (MMS), such as Leica Pegasus TRK or Leica BLK kinematic scanners, such as BLK2GO or BLK2FLY. The data involves dynamic 3D spatial data collected by scanners such as trajectory, 3D point cloud, imagery, etc.
Editable Track: If mobile data is imported as a B2G file or directly from Leica BLK kinematic scanners, such as the BLK2GO and BLK2FLY, the Track is editable in Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS, allowing for operations, such as deleting WayPoints, adding WayPoints, and trimming the Track. Track Setup may include trajectory, 3D point clouds, image sets along the trajectory, WayPoints, panoramic images, GeoTags, targets, and metadata.
Uneditable Track: If mobile data is re-imported from an LGSx file, the Track data appears as an non-editable component within the Unstructured Setup.
Note: Editable Tracks can be easily distinguished from Uneditable Tracks by their different icons. Refer to the Editable and Uneditable Tracks page for the details.
