Setup Definitions in Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS
In Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS, a Setup represents a stand-alone unit of reality capture data, which may be either structured (from static or terrestrial laser scans) or unstructured (from mobile or kinematic scans and imported datasets).
Each Setup can serve as a foundational element in the registration process, functioning independently or combined with other Setups to form a Bundle. Each Setup, regardless of source or type, can contribute to forming a Bundle within Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS. Setups may have arbitrary or user-specified coordinate systems and can be linked to other Setups in various configurations, such as Setup-to-Setup, Setup-to-WayPoint, or WayPoint-to-WayPoint.
A WayPoint (WP) is an entity providing a panoramic viewpoint within a Setup that enhances navigation and spatial awareness in reality capture data.
WPs offer users a comprehensive visual and spatial context, facilitating a clearer understanding of the spatial relationships within the data. WPs can be created by re-importing reality capture data or unifying Bundles, where Setups are converted into WPs. They can also be generated virtually at a pick point where colourized point clouds or image sets exist, such as trajectory images in track data. Additionally, WPs can be used to add Links between Setups to form Bundles.
