Structured vs. Unstructured Point Cloud Data

Point clouds are a type of 3D reality capture data consisting of individual points, each with a specific position in space (X, Y, Z), and usually additional attributes like colour, intensity, surface normal, classification, etc. They are used to capture and represent real-world objects and environments, such as buildings, landscapes, equipment, etc. There are two primary types of point clouds: structured and unstructured.
