Importing Data From Cyclone FIELD 360

Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS supports importing RTC300 / RTC500 / RTC700 scanner data directly from Cyclone FIELD 360 using the following methods:

  • Direct connection import

  • Import using the FAFx file

Direct Connection Import

The Direct Connection workflow allows Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS to connect directly to a Cyclone FIELD 360 tablet and import available project data, following the steps below:

  1. Establish a direct connection with the tablet:

    1. On the Cyclone FIELD 360 tablet, open the synchronization settings.

    2. Activate the Synchronization Server.

  2. Select Cyclone FIELD 360 as the import source:

    1. Go to Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS and open the Import tab.

    2. Select FIELD 360 as the import source.

  3. Configure tablet connection settings:

    1. In the Import Cyclone FIELD 360 dialog, enter the tablet connection information:

      1. IP address.

      2. Port number.

Note: These values are available in the Cyclone FIELD 360 synchronization settings.

  1. Click Add Project.

    1. Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS connects to the tablet and retrieves the list of available Jobs.

  2. Review available Jobs on the tablet and select the one intended for import.

  3. Click Import to import the selected data into the current project.

After the import is complete, the Job will become available for registration and further processing workflows.

Import Using the FAFx File

As an alternative to the Direct Connection workflow, Cyclone FIELD 360 projects can also be imported using the FAFx file.

The FAFx file is a project exchange container used by Cyclone FIELD 360 workflows.

FAFx files may contain:

  • Project structure

  • Jobs

  • Bundles

  • Setup information

  • Preview data (LWPO)

  • Full-resolution scan data

  • Links and registration information

  • Control Points

FAFx files are commonly used for:

  • Transferring data between devices

  • Offline project exchange

  • Importing FIELD 360 projects without a direct device connection

To import the FAFx project:

  • Drag and drop the FAFx file into the Import area.

  • Or use the Browse button to select the FAFx file manually.

Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS will automatically detect the project structure and import the data.
