FARO Firmware Limitations

Summary

FARO scans from scanners with firmware newer than 2022 are incompatible with Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS.

In 2022, FARO discontinued support for the SDK, so data from scanners with firmware newer than 2022 might not be imported into Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS. The latest available version of the SDK is 2021.5.1.

Workaround

Check the installed FARO SDK version. For newer data, please process through FARO software to produce an FLS or E57 file for import into REGISTER 360 PLUS.
