TV Measurements

The measuring tools are located on the toolbar on the left hand side of the viewer. Users can create the following types of measurements within a TruView project:

• Measure Angle

• Measure Area

• Measure Distance | Point-to-Point

• Measure Temperature

• Point Info

• Measure Pipe Diameter

When measurement tools are active a surface direction indicator will be present while picking. This can be used to help identify which surface you are measuring against.   The indicator will only be present if a project contains normals (published from REGISTER360 2020.1 and Cyclone 2020.1 or newer) and a normals surface can be computed. It will not display in areas with low point density. The surface direction indicator is not required to measure, it is only use to help identify which surface you are measuring against. Measurement end points are created from the location of the cursor, not the center of the surface direction indicator.
