LGS Converter 2023.1
What’s New
The Leica LGS Converter Tool is a standalone program that allows the user to convert LGS file(s) to LGSx file(s) and save them directly to the user-selected directory location.
No license is needed to run the LGS Converter Tool
Please make sure you have the latest graphic card drivers installed from the manufacturer’s website.
Installation
Click on the install file to start the installation process:
Click Next, accept the licensing agreement and click Next to proceed:
Click Install to complete the installation process:
Click Finish to close the InstallShield Wizard:
Program usage
Click on the LGS Converter Tool icon on your desktop to start the program:
Click Add LGS to load LGS files from your local storage.
Click Convert to begin the conversion process.
File conversion will begin.
When conversion is complete. Click OK to complete the conversion and close the program:
Compatibility
The LGS Converter Utility produces LGSx files which can be consumed by 2023.1 versions of the Reality Capture portfolio and later. The chart below describes the specific file compatibility across the portfolio.

Deprecated Features
Leica Geosystems strives to provide support for the widest array of operating systems and file formats possible as is reasonable given current technologies and support from third-party partners.
With each release, we review our list of currently supported formats and operating systems in line with industry trends and announce product terminations.
Leica Geosystems may add or terminate support for a file format during any release. Obsolete operating systems will be supported for six months after their announced termination or the next major software release, whichever comes first. Server products will be supported in alignment with Leica’s Client License Manager (CLM) supported servers to guard users against incompatibility.
Cyclone REGISTER 360 2023.1:
LGS files are no longer published. Users will publish LGSx files from version 2023.1 onward. All LGS files imported into the product will be converted the LGSx.
TruView 2023.1:
LGS files are no longer published. Users will publish LGSx files from version 2023.1 onward. All LGS files imported into the product will be converted the LGSx.
Cyclone ENTERPRISE 2023.1:
LGS files are no longer published. Users will publish LGSx files from version 2023.1 onward. All LGS files imported into the product will be converted the LGSx.
