Deprecation of COE Plug-in for AutoCAD
CloudWorx Viewer for AutoCAD now embeds COE functionality directly within the ribbon interface, eliminating the need for a separate COE plug-in. Consequently, the standalone COE plug-in for AutoCAD has been deprecated and removed.
New Find Pipes Tool
The new Find Pipes tool has been introduced in CloudWorx for AutoCAD to enable automated pipe extraction and streamline pipe modelling. Located under Fitters | Pipe Modeler (drop-down)| Find Pipes, this feature uses classification in the point cloud to detect and extract straight pipe sections and elbows from classified point clouds. It is compatible with both Cyclone 3DR and Reality Cloud Studio plant classification models.

To extract pipes using the Find Pipes tool, follow the steps below (refer to the Find Pipes Help page for details):
Note: If the data is not properly classified, a warning will appear in the command line.

Optional Step: how to verify the correct classification
The initial version of the Find Pipes tool requires data that has been automatically classified by the Cyclone 3DR plant model, which includes classes for pipes at indexes 191 (Pipe Bend) & 192 (Pipe Cylinder). Thus, start by verifying if the dataset is properly classified:
Navigate to Rendering | Color Mapping.
In the Point Cloud Color Mapping dialog, select Classification from the Global Color Mapping drop-down list and click Apply.

The Class Visibility button should become active. Click it, and the Point Cloud Classification dialog will open.
Scroll to index 192 & 192, labelled Pipe Bend & Pipe Cylinder, and deselect the check box. Inspect the point cloud to confirm that the pipe data disappeared, verifying proper classification. Select the check box again to restore the pipe data in the CAD window. Close the Point Cloud Classification dialog.

Apply the changes in the Point Cloud Color Mapping dialog and close it.
Go to Fitters and click Find Pipes.
The Find Pipes dialog opens, displaying filters that control the parameters of the created pipes. Adjust the filters as necessary and click OK. The process of automatic pipe detection will start.

Once automatic processing is complete, the identified pipes will be displayed. Disable point visibility (Rendering | Point Visibility) to view the created geometry more clearly.

REVIT
TruSpace Support in CloudWorx Viewer for Revit
TruSpace is now integrated into CloudWorx Viewer for Revit, enabling fast point cloud navigation, as well as viewing of GeoTags and panoramic images, if available in the imported data.
When opened, TruSpace automatically displays one point cloud from the host CAD system, eliminating the need for point picking.
Note: TruSpace synchronisation and point selection features are only available in CloudWorx PRO version.
Measure Distance Tool
CloudWorx for Revit now features a new tool that enables users to perform point-to-point distance measurements. It can be accessed from the CloudWorx ribbon (Tools | Move Object (drop-down) | Measure Distance).

To measure the distance between two points:
Activate the tool.
Select two points in sequence.
Click OK to view the measurement results, including:
Coordinates of the first point
Coordinates of the second point
3D distance between the two points
Horizontal distance between the points
Vertical distance between the points
The tool supports both metric and imperial units, making it suitable for different project standards. Refer to the Distance Measurement Help page for details.

CloudWorx for BricsCAD now supports V26, enabling users to fully utilise the CloudWorx toolset within the BricsCAD V26 environment.
Bug Fixes
ALL CLOUDWORX
Fixed an issue that caused TruSpace to show coordinates based on the default UCS, ignoring the coordinates of the active UCS. Now, TruSpace correctly displays coordinates, ensuring consistency between the host and TruSpace views.
Fixed an issue that caused scan positions to be hidden in TruSpace, requiring extra steps to make them visible. Now, scan positions are accurately displayed upon opening TruSpace.
Fixed an issue that caused CloudWorx to become unresponsive when importing an LGS file and converting it to LGSx. Now, the conversion process runs silently in the background as intended, and the LGS file loads without causing the software to freeze or shut down.
Fixed an issue that caused UCSs from the RCS dataset to be unavailable in TruSpace, even though they were correctly displayed in the host software. Now the correct coordinates are shown in TruSpace and update dynamically based on the currently selected UCS.
Fixed an issue that caused CloudWorx to terminate unexpectedly when importing E57, LAS, or PTX files and converting them into LGSx.
REVIT
Fixed an issue where CloudWorx for Revit was installed only in English, regardless of the language selected during setup. The plug-in now installs in the chosen language as expected.

Known Issues
ALL CLOUDWORX
Reality Cloud Studio Limit Boxes
Projects uploaded to Reality Cloud Studio between October 2024 and February 2025 may have an issue where limit boxes created in Reality Cloud Studio have an incorrect origin or “anchor point” and should not be activated in the clipping manager in CloudWorx. To correct this issue, re-upload the original file to Reality Cloud Studio.
Streaming From Reality Cloud Studio
IT security measures such firewalls and packets sniffers can affect the performance of streaming data from Reality Cloud Studio. For the best streaming performance, all URLs associated with HxDR and Reality Cloud Studio should be whitelisted by local IT departments.
Support for Reality Cloud Studio Projects
When searching for a specific project file name in the Reality Cloud Studio client browser, the search will be limited based on the user’s account access to the folder where the project file is stored.
After rendering a point cloud dataset that is streamed from Reality Cloud Studio to the CloudWorx workspace the Setups' naming that can be viewed either in the ScanWorld Explorer or TruSpace Explorer are not preserved.
CloudWorx Toolbar Is Missing After Installation
Some host applications do not show the Ribbon toolbar by default. As such, a user may need to enable it to properly see all the CloudWorx tools. To do so, right-click on the toolbar and select Ribbon to turn it on.
Unusual Empty Margin When Viewing in Perspective
Users will experience an unusual empty border around their point cloud view when view is launched from TruSpace. Due to the nature of perspective rendering, the issue is exaggerated when the user zooms as well as when the viewing window is wider (e.g., 16:9 ratio).
Modified Usage for Asian Languages
Some actions and dialogs do not execute properly when operating CloudWorx in an Asian language.
Temporary ModelSpace
When working with IMP data, users may see a temporary ModelSpace created within Cyclone to support rendering in CloudWorx. All ModelSpace views are temporary and will not be permanently added to a project. It is not a requirement that Cyclone be running while using CloudWorx.
Equivalent User Permissions Requirement
When working with IMP data, the host application must be run with the same level of user privileges as Cyclone was originally configured with. Meaning if Cyclone is configured to Run As Administrator, then the host application should be Run As Administrator to connect to Cyclone and open an IMP.
Importing MultiStation Data
There may be a delay when importing MultiStation data into CloudWorx. Users may see an error message which states that the server is not available. However, this message will disappear, and data will be imported as expected.
LGS Usage over Network
The use of LGS files is only officially supported when the files are saved locally. Due to variations between network deployments, LGS files may be unreliable when published to or hosted in a network location.
AUTOCAD
CWVALIGN Command
Starting a move command and then closing the tool window can cause AutoCAD to crash. The recommended workflow is to click the apply button in the tool window after each move is completed.
The tool window may hide after starting a move command, but on subsequent uses the tool window is still shown.
REVIT
TruSpace view sync in Revit
When using TruSpace for point selection such as pipe or steel fitting the Revit 3D window will not sync views with TruSpace. Sync works only in view mode, when another CloudWorx command is not activated.
CloudWorx for Revit Cable Tray Fitter
The cable tray fitter does not currently provide an accurate fit by size and may be rotated incorrectly. For example, a channel cable tray may be oriented upside down.
BRICSCAD
Graphics Card Compatibility in BricsCAD
Some laptop computers with both integrated and dedicated graphics cards might experience an issue when connecting to RCS. Users can set BricsCAD program preferences to use the integrated graphics GPU to resolve the issue.
