Workplane - 2 Points

Function

This command sets the orientation of the X-Axis of the UCS from 2 user defined picks on the point cloud while keeping the Z-Axis in the up direction.

Procedure

To orientate the UCS from 2 Pick Points:

1. Click on the icon or type cwworkplane at the CAD command line and press Enter

2. Type 2Points at the CAD command line and press Enter

3. The user will be prompted to Pick origin

   1. Be sure Node OSNAP is on

   2. Pick on the point cloud to define the origin

4. Next the user will be prompted to Pick X axis

   1. Pick on the point cloud to define the X axis directions.

   2. This will not change the orientation or direction of the Z axis. The Z axis will remain in the up direction.

5. The Y axis will rotate to match the user defined pick points and the UCS will now be aligned.
