Orientation - Points on Grid

Function

This command provides easy to use tools for defining a grid on the ground and selecting an area of interest for inserting survey ground points. The user can launch an automated algorithm that automatically and intelligently places survey points using a selected SmartPick setting.

Procedure

To generate Points on a Grid:

1. Click on the icon or type cwpongrid at the CAD command line and press Enter.

   1. The Points on Grid Dialog will open

2. Click on the WorkPlane/Grid tab.

   1. Note: The grid orientation will follow the UCS, you may want to orientate the UCS prior to creating points on a grid.

3. In the Grid Display set the size of your grid that is desired and check Display.

4. Next, click on the Points on Grid tab.

5. Choose which Smart Pick Method is desired.

6. Choose the search Radius.

7. Choose the Result Type.

8. Change the default Raw Description if desired.

9. Click Place Points. Preview is not required, however it will temporarily show where points will be placed.
