What’s New
This is a weekly release including a new user search and support for Revit files.
Support for Revit Files
Users can now upload and navigate Revit files as assets. This addition expands the available formats that can be stored and interacted with using Reality Cloud Studio allowing user’s to archive not only point cloud and mesh assets but RVT files and their associated PRJ files for georeferencing.
Uploading RVT files
Navigate to the project you wish to add the RVT file to.
Select + Add asset and navigate to the file or drag the file into the browser window.
You will be prompted to confirm the upload.
Select Upload to begin uploading the file(s).
During the upload process, you may navigate elsewhere in the product.
When the file is uploaded, it will appear in the same way as other project assets. Select the asset to view it.
The asset will be placed within the user’s field of view and can be interacted with as with any other asset.
Interacting with RVT Assets
Once an RVT file is uploaded as an asset, it can be interacted with in the same way as point cloud and mesh-based assets. Supported actions include:
Creating limit boxes including the model
Measuring on the model
Placing GeoTags on the model
Creating tours including the model
Modify visualization settings
Exporting RVT Files
Assets originally uploaded as RVT files can also be exported. Follow the standard export steps described in the help file to download the original RVT file. https://rcdocs.leica-geosystems.com/reality-cloud-studio/latest/export
