Data from Dual Axis Compensator (DAC)-equipped scanners
The Dual Axis Compensator (DAC) is a device that automatically corrects the horizontal and vertical angles of a laser scanner to ensure accurate and level measurements. It is especially useful for scanning at long distances or in environments with vibrations or movements.
The Leica Geosystems' survey-grade 3D laser scanners have real-time in-body dual-axis hardware compensation. The P-Series scanner P50, P40, and P30, and the RTC360 scanner are equipped with this technology.
