What’s New

This is a minor release of Cyclone FIELD 360 including support for Full Point Cloud Data Mode and critical bug fixes.

Full point cloud data mode for BLK2GO and BLK ARC

With the release of Cyclone FIELD 360 5.2, users can now enable or disable Full point cloud data mode on a job-by-job basis. When full point cloud data mode is enabled, the scanner will stream the full point cloud data to the mobile device. When full point cloud data mode is disabled, the scanner will stream sub-sampled point cloud data to the mobile device.

Enabling Full point cloud data mode can take up a lot of storage space on the mobile device. Please plan accordingly.

The setting can be changed for the Job at any time however, the mobile app needs to have active connection with a scanner.

Once the scanner is disconnected it is not possible to edit this setting

For BLK360 the Full data mode remains as it has been released in Cyclone Field 360 4.1

Bug Fixes

• Fixed bugs that could cause crashes with BLK2GO and BLK ARC scanners.

• Improvements for long walks with BLK2GO and BLK ARC

• Fixed BLK ARC licensing issues.

• Fixed a bug that caused the creation and optimization of BLK2Go and BLK ARC walks to take longer than expected.

• Fixed incorrect error messages for BLK360 and BLK360 G1.

Compatibility

Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS 2024.0.1 (or higher) or Cyclone 3DR 2023.1.0 (or higher) to support data import.

Recommended Hardware and Software Specifications

Android tablet or phone running on Android 10.0 or higher on 64-bit ARM architecture with 64-bit operating system and at least 4GB of RAM

• Recommended devices:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab S8

  • Samsung Galaxy S9

  • Samsung Galaxy S22

  • Samsung GalaxyS23 series

Apple iPad or Apple iPhone running on iOS16 or higher with 64-bit operating system and at least 4GB of RAM

• Recommended devices:

  • iPad Pro 11 (2021, 2022)

  • iPhone 13, 14, 15, 16 series

For first generation BLK360 scanners, iOS devices are recommended.

Licensing

Leica Cyclone FIELD 360 5.2 requires an active Cyclone REGISTER family or Cyclone FIELD 360 license for activation.
