In the **Tools** panel, click **Points on Grid**. ![image-20260727-035514.png](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/image-20260727-035514.png) 2. In the **Points on Grid** dialog, on the **Workplane/Grid** tab, specify the grid size in the **Size** field. 3. Select the **Display** checkbox to show the grid in the workspace. ![image-20260727-035921.png](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/image-20260727-035921.png) ## Define Grid Parameters 1. Open the **Points on Grid** tab. 2. Define the required fence type. In this exercise, it’s **Polygon**. > [!TIP] > **Tip:** When defining the fenced area, press **F3** to disable snapping and prevent unintentional snapping to the existing linework. 3. Configure the following parameters: 1. **SmartPick Method**: Ground 2. **Result Type**: Cogo Points 4. Click **Preview** to visualise the grid. ![image-20260727-040252.png](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/image-20260727-040252.png) ## Adjust Workplane Parameters If necessary, adjust the workplane orientation before generating the grid: 1. On the **Workplane/Grid** tab, use the **Rotate** tools to rotate the workplane clockwise or counterclockwise, or specify a rotation angle. ![image-20260727-043358.png](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/image-20260727-043358.png) 2. Switch back to the **Points on Grid** tab and generate a new preview. ## Place Points on Grid 1. When satisfied with the preview results, click **Place Points**. 2. Turn off **Point Visibility** to review the ground points.
