Import Ortho Slice

Function

An ortho image from REGISTER360 can be imported providing a slice of the point cloud to trace over or to add as a background to diagrams and reports.

Procedure

Browse to the DXF file associated with the ortho slice image. The DXF can contain multiple image files. The image file(s) has to have the same name that the DXF file is looking for. If there is no image file associated with the dxf file in the directory then the import is aborted.

The ortho image and DXF file need to be in the same directory as the DWG drawing. If they are not already located in that directory, then the dxf and ortho image will be copied in.

The image will be inserted on the current layer with a draw order set to back. The image will be scaled correctly for imperial and metric drawings and positioned in the correct location.

Note: For accurate alignment, it is up to the user to set the project units in REG360 to match the Drawing units in Map360 if using US Survey feet or International Feet.
