Import Cyclone / Cyclone Legacy

Function

Import a Cyclone Point Cloud file directly into your scene. The Legacy version uses an older method behind the scenes for importing the point cloud, but the procedure is the same for both routines.

At least the Cyclone Viewer program is required for this routine.

Procedure

Run the routine and use the […] button to load the Cyclone database.

Select a ModelSpace View to import.

Specify the Distance Units, if a conversion is needed for your scene units.

Select a Coordinate System in the Point Source if you have multiple to choose from. This will define the origin used relative to the Point Cloud.

Select a Coordinate System in the Viewport if you have multiple to choose from.

Select OK and the point cloud will load in the drawing.

Setting up the Cyclone Database requires a few initial steps before this routine can be used.
