What’s New
This is a weekly release include an update to the Measurement user experience and bug fixes.
Measurement Tool Redesign
We’re excited to introduce a redesigned user interface for creating measurements that now aligns seamlessly with the experience of creating other objects in the platform such as GeoTags and Tours. This update brings a consistent, intuitive, and streamlined workflow to measurement creation, making it easier than ever to get started and stay productive.
Consistent UI Patterns: The measurement creation flow now mirrors the familiar steps used for creating other objects, reducing the learning curve and improving usability across the board.
Improved Navigation & Layout: Clearer structure, smarter defaults, and contextual guidance help users complete tasks faster with fewer errors.
Why This Matters:
A consistent user interface across object creation tasks minimizes cognitive load, allowing users to transfer knowledge from one workflow to another effortlessly. This not only speeds up onboarding for new users but also boosts efficiency for experienced users by eliminating unnecessary friction.
Why It’s Better:
The previous measurement creation experience was functional but isolated in design, requiring users to adapt to a different interaction model. The new UI brings it in line with modern design standards and user expectations, offering a more cohesive and satisfying experience.
Additional Measurement Improvements:
Added distance between points for area measurements
Measurement detail remains visible after saving
Clicking on a measurement item will open the measurement details
Users with read only access are now able to see the measurement details
Added the perimeter to Area measurements
Bug Fixes
Various fixes on the toggle button “Panoramic viewpoints”
Fixed a bug that could cause refreshing the page to block usage.
Known Issues
Lines can show up in the Panoramic view. This is depending on the GPU available
PRJ file is not respected for OBJ, GLB, IFC, Revit uploads
RCS is currently limited to 32 artifacts on a given asset
If the initial processing fails, downloading the original file is no longer possible
Editing the tour name does not work from the tour overview panel. Workaround: Do the change in the Tour Info panel
In a very specific workflow starting with creating limitbox and then attempting to move to the mesh view (without a mesh being there) the asset view freezes
