What’s New

This is a weekly release including a new asset loader indicator and a new Member company account role.

Asset loader indicator

A new dynamic percentage loading indicator is now visible within an asset after opening to provide users with real-time feedback on the progress of the asset that is being loaded. Users will benefit from greater transparency on the loading process including the type of asset and the portion of the asset that is loaded. This change will be especially beneficial when working with larger assets.

As always, assets are immediately usable within the viewing window as they load ensuring that users do not experience any delays or downtime but providing them with a helpful indication that their project is not yet fully loaded, and its density and quality will improve as points continue to be loaded.

New “Member” account role

A new account role type has been added called Member which has limited access to functionality that consumes data against the company subscription. Members cannot create new projects and thus cannot make themselves an owner of a project ensuring that they must be proactively granted access to consumption-based features by an authorized user.

Though they cannot create projects, they can have project ownership transferred to them and can be made an Editor or Collaborator in a Project allowing them to upload and process data when authorized.

Any project role or company role edits for a Member user will have a double opt-in to prevent accidental role changes that will allow the user to begin consuming data against the subscription more freely.

To fully limit a user’s access to consumption-based features, a Member user should only be assigned the Viewer or Collaborator project role.
