What’s new

Deviation analysis

Deviation Analysis was added to our Scan V BIM capabilities. After performing an auto-align, users can use the new Deviation Analysis panel to calculate the surface deviation between a reality capture scan and a BIM model. The results can be visualized in the browser using an on-the-fly colormap as well as a mouse read-out of the exact deviation value at a specific surface position. The Deviation Analysis workflows helps validate construction and remodeling efforts by automating measurements.

Improvements

  • Processing pipelines will no longer fail due to infrastructure unavailability with our cloud service providers. This will have the biggest impact on the Point Cloud Classification pipeline where the needed processing machines were often unavailable. From this deployment onwards the pipelines are being scheduled in case of unavailability, causing the pipeline to wait until a machine is available. During this time the user will be shown the normal spinner indicating processing.

  • Sorting of the Asset and Folder list now follows the same logic as Windows File Explorer

  • Moving with WASD, Arrows or Mouse (Scrolling) in Pano Mode now more likely moves the user to a pano on the same level

  • Custom Data Objects are now available on label annotations and measurement annotations

Bug fixes

  • Exporting to LAS, E57, PTS fails if PC classification failed

  • In some cases the pipeline running after upload failed early due to infrastructure issues. This is fixed.
