Hexagon GeoCloud: Hardware / software

Do I need any specific hardware or software prerequisites to run Hexagon GeoCloud on my PC?

GeoCloud is a web application running in your browser therefore we recommend using the latest version of Chrome, Edge or Safari in 64bit. Firefox and 32bit browsers are no longer supported.

A fast internet connection is key for the performance as data is streamed to your browser. In addition, we recommend using the latest graphic card firmware and drivers.

You can optimize the performance of your browser in your Windows systems settings or in the
graphic card driver. Please refer to Hardware / software requirements for more details.

What are the hardware or software requirements for best performance?

Can I use GeoCloud on my mobile phone?

GeoCloud is a web application running in your browser of your mobile device.

Be aware that GeoCloud is a data-heavy process and may drastically increase your data usage.

Is GeoCloud supported by all browsers?

It is recommended to run GeoCloud on a Chromium-based Browser such as Chrome or Edge. Certain features may be wholly or partially incompatible with other browsers.

In case you experiencing an issue please use one of those browsers or update it to the latest version.

Please ensure that you have GPU Acceleration enabled at the system level in order to get the best performance from GeoCloud. Many browsers revert to the primary GPU which is often not the most powerful card in your machine.

1. Go to your Windows Graphics Settings

2. Turn “Hardware acceleration” on

3. Click “Browse”

4. Navigate to “C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application

5. Select the “Chrome.exe”

6. Click on “Chrome” and select “Options”

7. Choose “High Performance GPU”

8. Reboot and visit https://geocloud.hxdr.app/

What are the requirements for streaming GeoCloud data into Cyclone 3DR and CloudWorx?

Is it possible to embed GeoCloud into our organization’s platform using iframes?

No. We currently do not offer support for iframes as a means to embed GeoCloud into a different website.
