That means that this person has already credentials to log in and use the application. This person is considered as external member. External because it is not in your company account and member because it is a member of the platform. 1. **Open** the **project**. 2. Select **Project members** in the upper left of the page. 3. Click **Add member** in the upper right corner. 4. **Enter email address**(es) of the user(s). Note that the initial role set for external members is always viewer. This can be changed at a later. 5. Click **Add members**. > [!NOTE] > If the user is not registered in any company account in HxDR an error message will appear letting you know that the e-mail address was not found. > [!WARNING] > Please note that the email address entered must match the capitalization of the email address registered. for example, a user registered with the email address [Info@hxdr.com](mailto:Info@hxdr.com) could not be added with the email address [info@hxdr.com](mailto:info@hxdr.com). ## Create a General Access Link for public sharing of an Asset or Scene (view only) > [!NOTE] > Anyone who has a general access link can access the asset anonymously (no login required). There is no additional access control for the link, but the user will function similarly to a [Viewer role](/v1/docs/hexagon-geocloud-user-management#overview-of-the-authorisation-concept) while restricted to the Asset view. 1. **Navigate** to the **asset** you want to share. 2. Click the **three dots** on the right next to the asset. 3. Click **Share**. 4. **Activate General access**. 5. Optionally, set an **Expiration date**. 6. Optionally, modify the measurement units for the link. 7. **Copy and share link** with the people you like via e-mail or any other way. ## Why am I unable to add a member to my project? Please be aware that our system adheres to RFC 5321 standards, which treat the local-part of an email address (the section before the @ sign) as case-sensitive. Consequently, a user registered as [TEST@hxdr.com](mailto:TEST@hxdr.com) would not be able to be added with [test@hxdr.com](mailto:test@hxdr.com) to you project. While a receiving email server may choose to follow RFC standards, it is not required to do so. However, if it does, emails sent to [test@hxdr.com](mailto:test@hxdr.com), for example, would be regarded as having an unknown recipient.
