# Linear Measurements

Linear measurements allow users to measure between two points within their project and calculate the distance between the X, Y, and Z location of each point as well as the absolute distance between the points.

Linear measurements obey **Advanced** and **Simple** [measurement modes](/v1/docs/cyclone-register-360-measurement-mode-settings).
