# View Point

With this function you can save a view in order to come back to this same view point later. When a view is saved, the following properties are saved:

- the zoom
- the definition of the view (its position and its orientation)

> ### Requirements
> 
> No selection is required to launch the command.

1. Enter a name for the created View Point directly in the tree explorer. The view point is stored in the group **Other Objects**.

> ### Notes
> 
> - To restore a view point, use its magnifying glass in the tree and choose **Show**.
> - To update a view point, use its magnifying glass in the tree and choose **Update**.
> - Refer to [View Set](https://hexagon.atlassian.net/wiki/display/RCD/ViewSetC) to save also the visibility of objects.
