It is suitable to make longitudinal profiles of a curved way or a curved bridge for instance. > [!TIP] > ### Requirements > > Select the polyline(s) and/or the set(s) of polylines to unroll, then launch the command. 1. Select the axis polyline. 2. Wrong selection can be corrected using ![CursorGrey.svg](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/CursorGrey.svg) 3. You can choose to reverse the axis using ![InvertDirection.svg](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/InvertDirection.svg) 4. Optionally, apply an offset to the result either manually or automatically. In both cases, the **reference altitude** parameter is subtracted from the input heights. In other words, let 0 to keep true heights. > [!CAUTION] > Polylines to unroll are supposed to follow the axis in 2D to minimize deformations due to the projection. > [!TIP] > ### Practice > > - [Exercise: Draw a longitudinal profile](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-exercise-draw-a-longitudinal-profile)
