# Region Grow Cylinder

This command extracts a cylinder according to seed points and visible objects.

> ### Requirements
> 
> To extract a cylinder, launch the command and click seeds on objects.

1. You can force the **radius**, the **center** or the **axis**:
  1. Enter the XYZ coordinates in the edit controls or click on the icon ![AddPoint.svg](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/AddPoint.svg) to click a [point](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-enteringpointprocedure) in the scene.
  2. Enter the XYZ values of the vector in the edit controls or click on the icon ![Normal1.svg](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/Normal1.svg) to define a [direction](http://wiki-tdg.eu.hexagonmetrology.com:8090/display/Hlp2025x1/DefineNormalDirection) in the scene.
2. Set the **Extraction tolerance**.
3. Click a seed point.

> ### Notes
> 
> - Once a seed point is clicked, the computation is launched. You can cancel the current computation by pressing **ESC.**
> - Sometimes, when you compute a geometry, an incorrect extraction may occur with the point you click (ie noisy point). In that case, delete the latest point with **DEL** and click a new point
> - You can't lock all the properties at once: prefer the corresponding draw command.
