# Profile 2D Inspection-Define Positions

This step defines at which positions the sections will be computed.

1. Define positions:
  - with **Regular** option to define regularly spaced positions along the axis: define the step and the range.
  - with **List of values** option to define specific positions using a list of distances (or clicked points).
2. Add them to the project using the **Insert** button.
3. Optionally repeat, for instance to define more positions on the axis.
4. In case of error, remove all positions using the **Reset** button or each position using the red cross in the list.

> When using an alignment, **From ... To ...** parameters are improved by a list of key stations.
