# Profile 2D Inspection-Compare Inspect

This step allows comparing sections by pair. It may be skipped.

1. **2D Inspection Direction**: enter a [direction](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-definenormaldirection)for the inspection.
2. **Remove points distant of more than**: remove the quotations where deviations are greater than a certain value.
3. **Remove points distant of less than**: remove the quotations where deviations are lower than a certain value.
4. **Compare with regular step**: write quotations with a regular step.
5. Optionally, display the **3D** scene in addition to the 2D layout.
6. Display the sections:
  - In a line,
  - In a column,
  - In a grid,
  - Individually.
