# Measure

All appearance options for measures are directly applied on the measures inside the document, as well as the new measures.

Default Positioning is only applied to measures in new projects.

**Appearance:**

- **Background from gradient** applies a background color corresponding to the color associated to the inspection value, if any.
- **Number of decimals**: decide the number of decimals for all numeric values, which are not declared as integer, inside the measure object.

**Default Positioning :**

- Use **Fixed positioning** to position in 3D the measures next to their attachment point. It is possible to drag and drop them. Note that measures in background fade behind others.
- Use **Screen border positioning** to position in 2D according to the screen frame. It is not possible to drag and drop them.
