# Distance To Axis

This command creates a measure between a given point and an alignment object (road or tunnel axis).

> ### Requirements
> 
> Select an alignment (or a polyline, a CAD curve, a trajectory) and launch the command.

Click a point, a measure will indicate;

- its coordinates,
- the 3D distance from this point to its projection on the axis,
- the corresponding horizontal distance,
- the corresponding vertical distance,
- the corresponding station value.
