# Distance Point Triangle

This command allows you to measure the distance between a point and a triangle.

> [!TIP]
> You will have to click a point first, then click on a triangle. The distance is measured and a measure is generated.

- You can sign the result (negative distance if the point has been projected on the triangle inner side).
- You can add a comment to your measure if needed by typing in the **Comment** field.
- You can measure a new distance by clicking on **OK, Next** or you can validate your current measure and exit the command by clicking **OK, Exit**.
