# Manage datasets

> [!NOTE]
> A **dataset** is a way of storing **data series** such as sections (such as [Profile Extraction](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-profileextractionc) or [Roundness](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-roundnessc)). In other words, it is a collection of data with the same layout coming from one command.

Click on **arrows** (or modify **index**) in order to display and/or edit a specific item of the dataset. 2. Modify the cell content or add as many cells as you want (refer to [Template View](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-templateview)). 3. By default, layout is the same for all items. Otherwise click on ![linkIcon.png](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/linkIcon.png) to unlink it and apply a different layout for a specific item (this layout won't be applied to others items in the dataset). 4. Optionally with the last icon, add or remove "mandatory" page breaks between items. |
