# Lock View

This command locks/unlocks the active view in the limit slice/plane direction.

> ### Requirements
> 
> Select one limit slice/plane or activate one limit slice/plane or display one limit slice/plane and launch the command.
> 
> The first complied condition will define the limit slice/plane used by the command.

1. Lock the view thanks to the corresponding ribbon button or the contextual menu.
2. Rotations are disabled (Pan and zoom are allowed).
3. If the limit slice/plane has been defined along a curve, then moving the limit slice/plane along the curve will apply the corresponding rotations.
4. Unlock the view thanks to the corresponding ribbon button, the contextual menu or the camera toolbar button.

> ### Notes
> 
> Other limit slices/planes will be deactivated in the active scene.
> 
> Deactivating the limit slice/plane will unlock the view.
