# Limit Slice

This command is used to define a limit plane with a depth along a specified axis.

> ### Requirements
> 
> No selection is required to launch the command.

1. Launch the command **X-axis**, **Y-axis** or **Z-axis**, to select the axis of the slice.
2. Click a first point using [Define points](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-enteringpointprocedure). A temporary limit plane is displayed in the scene.
3. In the same way, click again to define the second plane and create the limit slice.
