Making a regular grid is useful to emulate software that are only able to treat grids. In particular, it is the case of all softwares which do image processing and use a CCD matrix. > [!TIP] > ### Requirements > > Select all the meshes on which the grids must be projected and launch the command. --- 1. Choose the direction for grid orientation mode: 1. **Default**: projection in Z direction of a grid with an horizontal axis along X axis 2. **Custom direction**: you can choose the **Projection direction**, the **Horizontal axis**, the **Origin** and the **Offset** of the grid. 2. Choose the grid parameters: 1. **2D Grid**: project all the points on a best plane computed from the selected mesh(es). 2. **3D Grid**: compute the grid projected on the selected mesh(es). 3. Choose the **Horizontal** and **Vertical steps** of the grid. 4. You have the possibility to extract the grid contours using the **Contour** checkbox.
