Optionally, select the points you want to work with using the fencing tool ![InputCloudCleanSeparate.svg](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/InputCloudCleanSeparate.svg) : all [Clean Separate Cloud](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-cleanseparatecloudc) selection tools are available. Use ![InputCloudCleanSeparateRestore.svg](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/InputCloudCleanSeparateRestore.svg) to **Restore** the initial cloud. 2. Define the **Grid** parameters: 1. Define the **Grid orientation** (always in an horizontal plane) 2. Enter the **Grid step** 3. You can also **Define a grid point** i.e. a point where an intersection of the grid is supposed to be. 3. Choose the point **Picking method**. You have the following choices: 1. **Ground point**: it will create points laying onto the ground of your point cloud 2. **Highest point**: it will create points corresponding to the highest area of your point cloud (in the direction perpendicular to the grid) 3. **Lowest point**: it will create points corresponding to the lowest area of you point cloud points (in the direction perpendicular to the grid) 4. Check **Snap points to grid intersection** ![13bcdbb3-3181-4fa2-938b-fc979560e75c.jfif](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/13bcdbb3-3181-4fa2-938b-fc979560e75c.jfif) to extract points at the exact X and Y coordinates of the grid. 5. Define the **Extraction radius** around each intersection. 6. Once a **Preview** has been computed: 1. Define the COGO points parameters (used for Export and Send To): 1. **Feature** code (use ![CmdSettings.svg](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/CmdSettings.svg) to open [Virtual Surveyor (Settings)](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-virtualsurveyorsettingsc)) 2. First **Point index** 3. **Coordinates** texts to write 2. Define the texts height. 3. Choose either to export the result in a DXF or directly send the result to another application (refer to [Send To](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-sendto)). > [!WARNING] > ### Notes > > - Depending on the grid and the point cloud, the computation could be long due to the amount of points to create. > - Each point is extracted inside an infinite vertical cylinder. > - COGO points definition and direct Export are available with Survey edition
