# Draw Line

This command enables you to draw / create line(s) with some constraints.

> ### Requirements
> 
> No selection is required to launch the command.

1. Click some points in the scene (at least 2 points are required), the best line of all input points is computed.
2. You can force parameters (**Point**, **Direction**, **Length**) by clicking on the locks:
  1. Enter the XYZ coordinates in the edit controls or click on the icon ![AddPoint.svg](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/AddPoint.svg) to click a [point](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-enteringpointprocedure) in the scene.
  2. Enter the XYZ values of the vector in the edit controls or click on the icon ![Normal1.svg](https://cdn.document360.io/820e11db-8ed5-45ae-ac86-f6b77dcb2aa7/Images/Documentation/Normal1.svg) to define a [direction](http://wiki-tdg.eu.hexagonmetrology.com:8090/display/Hlp2025x1/DefineNormalDirection) in the scene.

> The line created will be the one best fitting the points while conserving the point and the direction entered by the user.
