# Along Direction

This command allows you to change the color of a mesh or a cloud along a given direction. Changing the color along a direction may be useful, for example, in order to have a good idea of the depth of the object.

> Select all the meshes and/or clouds you want to process and launch the command.

1. Select a [direction](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-definenormaldirection) to apply.
2. Display the result with **Preview**, and modify the color of the mesh/cloud with [**Edit Colors**](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-editgradientc).
