# Cloud

Options for new clouds (**Appearance)**, you can modify:

- their default **color of points** (smooth or flat representation mode).
- the number of points to display in the 3D scene when **Static** or moving (**Dynamic**).
- the **size of points**.

You can define the default shading value (global settings) for different type of cloud representations:

- **Real colors**
- **Scalar representations** (ex: inspection, timestamp or density representations),
- **Index representations** (ex: classification, return type)

The color definition of the **Return type** representation can be edited.
