# Change Current Unit

This command sets:

- The **Document Unit**, that is to say the unit of the current document. The new unit will be applied to the document but the data won't be changed.
- The **Default Document Unit**, that is to say the unit of next new documents.

> You can use [Resize](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-applyscalec) to resize the objects in your document or [Repair Project Unit](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-repairprojectunitc) to change the current unit and apply the corresponding scaling.
