# Capture View

This command creates an image from the current view.

> No selection is required to launch the command.

1. Optionally, apply a viewset with **Select View** or create another one with **Save View**(refer to [View Set](/v1/docs/cyclone-3dr-viewsetc)).
2. Set the **Image properties**:
  1. The **Width** and the **Height** in pixels. Optionally, you can link the width and the height so as to keep the image ratio when modifying the width or the height.
  2. The **Point/Line magnification**: when the pixel size is low, it is necessary to magnify the thickness of those components. Their line width, point size and font size will be scaled by this factor.
  3. If you want a **Custom Background** color: set the **Background color** (otherwise, the scene background will be use instead).
3. **Save image** to export it on the disk or directly **Copy image** in order to paste it in another application. Four formats are available: JPEG, PNG, BMP and TIFF.

> - The **size (in pixels)** have to respect your graphics card specifications.
> - The clipboard of some applications may not support large images.
