To orientate the UCS from two selected points, follow the steps below: 1. Activate the tool using any option below: 1. Select **2 Points** from the **Workplane** menu in the **Orientation** panel. 2. Type a [command line prompt](/v1/docs/cloudworx-2-points#command-line) specific to the preferred CAD system and press **ENTER**[.](https://hexagonmi.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/RCD/pages/44134903852/On+Slice#Command-Line) 2. When prompted to **Pick origin**, select a point on the point cloud to define the origin. 3. When prompted to **Pick X axis**, select a point on the point cloud to define the X-axis direction. This will not change the orientation or direction of the Z-axis. It will remain in the up direction. The Y-axis will rotate to match the user-defined pick points and the UCS will be aligned.
