What’s New
Cyclone 3DR 2026.1.4 is a minor release including bug fixes for stability.
Users under maintenance on 2026-04-01 may access version 2026.1.x with no new license required, in accordance with the maintenance expiration date policy.
Bug Fixes
Analysis > Progress Monitoring: Fixed an issue that occurred with large coordinates that could cause an infinite loop during the computation.
Clean > Stretch Polyline: Fixed the selection of multiple vertices.
File > Export DXF: Fixed the coordinate precision of the exported planar objects at large coordinates.
File Preview: Fixed a crash and missing thumbnails when browsing files through Windows File Explorer with non-Latin characters, such as Japanese.
Import > LAS/LAZ: Fixed an issue where geographic coordinates were misinterpreted as Cartesian coordinates.
Script > Curb Extraction: Fixed incorrect results returned by the BestFit algorithm, causing the Curb Extraction script to produce invalid output.
Script: Fixed a fetch SSL error occurring when running a script using web requests more than once during a session.
Known Issues
The Documentation Center is only available in English.
Some DWG import and export issues might happen. It is recommended to use the Send to CAD feature.
While DXF can be imported with a standard version, DWG requires the AEC or PRO Edition. One workaround is to use the 3DR Send command from AutoCAD to Cyclone 3DR.
Export viewsets to PDF report or BCF tickets does not work with NVidia driver 573.48 version. Fixed with 580.92 version.
Scan to Steel is not compatible with point cloud directly streamed from Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS or password-protected LGSx files.
NWD files prior to Navisworks 2016 can’t be imported.
Hexagon GeoCloud: Disconnecting from the active account may not work properly, causing the application to reconnect to the initial account when switching accounts.
Deprecated Features
Leica Geosystems strives to provide support for the widest array of operating systems and file formats possible as is reasonable given current technologies and support from third-party partners.
With each release, we review our list of currently supported formats and operating systems in line with industry trends and announced product terminations.
Leica Geosystems may add or terminate support for a file format during any release. Obsolete operating systems will be supported for six months after their announced termination or the next major software release, whichever comes first. Server products will be supported in alignment with Leica’s Client License Manager (CLM) supported servers to guard users against incompatibility.
Cyclone 3DR 2026.1.0 and later:
Cyclone Enterprise: Connecting to Cyclone Enterprise through the CloudWorx menu is not supported anymore. As a consequence, the following commands have been removed:
CloudWorx > Connect to Cyclone Enterprise
CloudWorx > Manage Connections
SCwCloud.ManageConnectionsis removed

The connection from Cyclone FIELD360 to Cyclone 3DR (2024.0 and later versions) projects is limited to TLS sensors:

All users with valid CCP or CCP which was valid as of 2026-04-01 for Cyclone 3DR, can run this new version of Cyclone 3DR.
