Backup/Archive File Format from Cyclone FIELD 360

FAF Support

As of the release of Cyclone FIELD 360 v 4.1, Cyclone FIELD 360 can export a backup/archive file for Jobs. The file format is FAF.

The format can be imported into Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS like any other scanner format. Each FAF file can contain a Job. The FAF format provides the same level of support as a direct connection to the tablet, including Links and all assets.

This format can be used as a backup and/or to clear Jobs from the tablet without having to import into Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS first.

The recommended workflow is to export Jobs to the FAF format and then import the FAF file directly into Cyclone FIELD 360.

FAFx Support

With the release of Cyclone FIELD 360 v 6.2, a new FAFx format was introduced.

FAFx Import Compatibility

• Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS 2026.0.0 and newer:

  • Fully supports importing FAFx files.

• Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS 2025.x:

  • To import FAFx, the user must install a special FAFx compatibility patch.

  • The patch is available on myWorld (Downloads | myWorld).

• Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS 2024.x:

  • Does not support FAFx.

  • Only the FAF format is supported.

LWPO Support

Across all versions of Cyclone REGISTER 360 / Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS, Light Weight Preview Object (LWPO) data is not supported.
LWPO preregistration information will not be imported from either FAF or FAFx.
