This command helps to unfold a cloud along a polyline. For instance, it is a helper function to generate one orthoimage for all frontages of a building.
Requirements
Select one cloud and one polyline, then launch the command. If the polyline is not planar, this command will automatically project it on a plane according to the axis define in 1).
A linear geometry or a cad curve can be used instead of a polyline but they will be discretized automatically.
-
Define the axis which is by default to Z=1 for frontages applications. A horizontal axis is relevant for unfolding a roof or a ceiling.
-
Optionally, reverse the path orientation if it has the wrong one.
-
In case of a closed path, define the origin.
-
Select the points to unfold:
-
Use All points when the content to unfold has been defined prior than launching this command.
-
Use Slice selection to select the points to unfold by defining two buffer widths around the polyline. Define the Left and Right widths, then click Preview the selection.
-
-
In both case, note that points which cannot match the polyline are filtered out automatically.
-
Click Preview: the view switches to Front view to display the result.
Technical information
The first point of the polyline is used for the insertion point of the result.
