This command allows you to measure the distance between a point and a plane.
You will have to click a point first, then click on a plane. The distance is measured and a measure is generated.

Check Sign distances along axes to indicate negative distances relative to the starting point. It also changes the arrow to indicate the starting point

You can add a comment to your measure if needed by typing in the Comment field.

You can measure a new distance by clicking on OK, Next or you can validate your current measure and exit the command by clicking OK, Exit.
