Standard Texture

This function creates a textured mesh from images.

Requirements

Select a mesh and images (or an image set with images selected for texturing) and launch the command.

  1. Select which triangles to texture: 

    1. texture all triangles, even the ones not visible in the current camera view

    2. texture triangles having at least one visible vertex in the current camera view

    3. texture triangles having all their vertices fully visible in the current camera view

  2. If the mesh is already textured or if you have selected several images to enter the command, you can select the Image choice strategy. You can choose to use:

    • the best image for each triangle i.e. the nearest one. If images are nearly at the same distance from a triangle, the image which is the most parallel to the triangle will be chosen.

    • or to use the same image for large groups of triangles.

  1. If the mesh is already textured, it is possible to update current texturing, that is to use the most relevant texture between the existing one and the new one, or to preserve existing texturing.
