This step sets up the objects for the rest of the Profile 2D Inspection workflow.
-
Curvilinear distances: choose whether the distances entered are expressed in 2D (only taking into account X and Y coordinates), or in 3D (X, Y, Z).
-
Offset: value added to the position of the section.
-
Prefix: choose the prefix for the distance information. For example, distances can be given with the prefix "MP" for "Milepost".
-
Section orientation: choose to create sections in vertical planes or in planes locally perpendicular to the axis.
Notes
-
The order of selection of the inputs will determine which is the reference and which is the measure. It can be changed afterwards.
-
When using an alignment:
-
The Curvilinear distances are automatically set to 2D.
-
The Offset is defined automatically according to the alignment stations.
