This command creates a regular sampled point cloud thanks to another point cloud and a grid.
Requirements
Select a point cloud and launch the command.
-
Optionally, select the points you want to work with using the fencing tool
: all Clean Separate Cloud selection tools are available. Use to Restore the initial cloud. -
Define the Grid parameters:
-
Define the Grid orientation (always in an horizontal plane)
-
Enter the Grid step
-
You can also Define a grid point i.e. a point where an intersection of the grid is supposed to be.
-
-
Choose the point Picking method. You have the following choices:
-
Ground point: it will create points laying onto the ground of your point cloud
-
Highest point: it will create points corresponding to the highest area of your point cloud (in the direction perpendicular to the grid)
-
Lowest point: it will create points corresponding to the lowest area of you point cloud points (in the direction perpendicular to the grid)
-
-
Check Snap points to grid intersection
to extract points at the exact X and Y coordinates of the grid. -
Define the Extraction radius around each intersection.
-
Once a Preview has been computed:
-
Define the COGO points parameters (used for Export and Send To):
-
Feature code (use
to open Virtual Surveyor (Settings)) -
First Point index
-
Coordinates texts to write
-
-
Define the texts height.
-
Choose either to export the result in a DXF or directly send the result to another application (refer to Send To).
-
Notes
-
Depending on the grid and the point cloud, the computation could be long due to the amount of points to create.
-
Each point is extracted inside an infinite vertical cylinder.
-
COGO points definition and direct Export are available with Survey edition
