Command Line

This command enables opening of point clouds from LGS and JSV files stored in a JetStream Enterprise server directly in the preferred CAD software.

An initial connection to the JetStream Enterprise server must be established first.

Note: The JetStream Enterprise server connection should be established either locally or through a server computer.

The JetStream Enterprise Connector license is required.

The connection to the JetStream Enterprise server can be managed in Project | Manage Connections.


Using the Tool

To open the JetStream Enterprise project from CloudWorx, follow the steps below:

  1. Select JetStream Enterprise in the Project panel or type a command line prompt specific to the preferred CAD system and press ENTER.

    1. The Open JestStream Enterprise Project dialog appears.

  1. Click the browse icon () to the right of the Point Source field to select the JetStream Enterprise project.

  2. Click the Coordinate Systems in Point Source drop-down menu to select a coordinate system that will be mapped to the drawing's WCS in the preferred CAD software.

    1. This drop-down menu contains a list of all the saved coordinate systems associated with the point cloud in the host software.

  3. Specify a coordinate system in the host software in Coordinate Systems in Viewport.

  4. In the Models in Point Source field, select the models to import, if any.

  5. Select the preferred CAD drawing unit from the Distance Units field.

    1. Distance units are needed to convert the units in the host software (meters) to the units in the preferred CAD software.

  6. Click OK to load the point cloud.

  7. Click Cancel to exit the dialog without loading the point cloud.

  8. Use the ZOOM | EXTENTS CAD command to view the entire scene.

Note: Plotting drawings with JetStream data that has large coordinates.

It is recommended to set the rendering to wireframe mode (3D) when printing JetStream data with large coordinates. Otherwise, the drawing and point cloud data likely will not match.
